My Name is Scott Helfrich. I live in Deland, Florida and I love taking Nature Photos.

I grew up in Southeast Michigan hiking and fishing with my Mom, Dad and two brothers.
My Dad was always a Photographer, but I really didn’t get into it until after High School when I started hiking myself.

While I always had a camera, my Dad was the photographer. Over the  years I owned a good collection of film cameras from Nikon to Pentax, but never had the money to get a long enough lens.

That changed, when cameras went digital and became affordable. I happened to I see photos made by a friend and just had to get a  Digital SLR after owning a Canon point and shoot for a year.

I own my Canon 40D with a 70-200 f2.8 and a 100-400 f4.5  for two years now and just love it !!
